Car Vinyl Wrap

Colour Change Vinyl Wraps

In recent years, car wrapping became a very popular car upgrade in Ontario and especially in the Greater Toronto Area. It’s obvious that vinyl wrap can completely change the look and feel of your car but it also protects the paintwork, essentially sealing it from the Canadian weather elements. Change your mind about the color? Want to sell the vehicle? Simply remove the vinyl and the original paintwork is unmarked and preserved. And it’s not just for new cars either. If you’ve found a used vehicle that is perfect in every aspect except the color then we can fix that as long as the paintwork is free of any major imperfections.

FAQs

A vinyl wrap is a thin vinyl layer applied to the surface of a car in order to protect the paint or change the color and finish. Vinyl wrapping is also widely used to apply graphics to the exterior of vehicles – which includes company logos, commercial advertising, or personalized designs on private cars.

Depending on the quality and thickness of the vinyl film, a vinyl wrap can maintain its shape for up to 7 years. However, thinner vinyl film generally has a shorter lifespan and lasts up to 4 or 5 years.

Yes! It offers great protection for the vehicle’s surface, retaining the resale value and saving you money on repairing small scratches. Its cost is also less than repainting your car, and the waiting time for the car to be returned from the shop is much shorter.

Car wraps are also the best choice for surface designs on commercial vehicles. Whether it’s advertising or adding corporate colors and branding, your company vehicles will stand out on the road and look more professional.

It depends on a few factors, such as whether it’s a partial wrap or full wrap, as well as the type of vehicle and the material quality of the wrap. In general, for a full wrap on a private car, rates could range anywhere between $3000 and $4000, and for commercial trucks anywhere between $3000 and $5000.

Yes. The removal process is fairly easy, especially if you have used quality film to wrap the car. All you need is a heat gun and you can conduct the process in your garage.

However, if you don’t have the time or patience to carefully peel the vinyl wrap off, you can always talk to a detailing studio and have professionals properly remove the vinyl film. Typically, removing a car wrap can cost up to $1000.

Quality vinyl wrap is designed to protect the paint, and to not leave any marks after removal. However, there are two possible scenarios where slight damage can occur:

a. If your surface paint is old and poorly maintained, such as if it has rust below the paint that is crumbling.

b. If you use cheap materials from unreputable sources, you risk the cheaper adhesive damaging some of the paint.

Yes, however, you need to wait 2 weeks after the wrapping process to let your new vinyl surface adhere properly. After that, a standard car wash is fine, but for the best wrap durability, it is recommended to hand wash it. Automated car wash brushes may cause the wrap layer to prematurely deteriorate, causing peeling and lifting of the film edges. However, if the car wash sprays water without the use of brushes, it is generally safe to use it.
