There are several reasons why you should consider tinting your car windows. Here are some primary benefits of car window tinting that you need to know.

  • Blocks about 99% of the UV rays. Standard window glass doesn’t completely block UV radiation, which besides the discomfort, can harm your eyes and skin.
  • Helps to hold glass together in the event of window breakage.
If you have the standard car window and it is hit hard enough, it will shatter into small pieces because it’s tempered glass, window tint may help to keep these small pieces from littering your interior.
  • Prolongs the life of the interior. Window tinting helps to prevent your interior from fading and discolouration due to UV rays and heat.
  • Helps to keep your car cooler in the summertime. During the summer days, the sun can cause a heat buildup in your vehicle, which is quite uncomfortable. Window tinting can keep your car cooler throughout the warm season.
  • Makes it difficult to see valuables left in the car. You don’t need to worry if you happen to leave your phone or wallet in the car. Window Tinting increases your vehicle’s security.
  • Lifetime Warranty. All of our car window tint installations come with a lifetime warranty which covers the damages like film fading, bubbling, peeling etc.

Window tinting refers to applying a thin film on the inside of the window. The transparent film will block the UV rays, preventing damage to the car’s interior. The vehicle will feel cooler during the hot summer months making your ride more comfortable. In addition, you will enjoy enhanced privacy.

Window tinting comes with so many benefits:

  • Protects your car interior from fading and cracking due to UV exposure
  • Keep your car cooler during the summer
  • Enhanced safety as the glass won’t shatter when broken
  • Maintain privacy and keep your valuables away from sight
  • Reduce eyestrain

Window tinting will enhance privacy, safety, and provide comfort. The specially designed film will improve visibility by reducing eye strain while blocking the sun rays and keeping your car cool. Also, removing the window tint is pretty straightforward. Before you tint your windows, make sure to check the local laws within your state.

Vehicle owners in Ontario should know that the darkness of the tint for the front and side windows shouldn’t exceed 30%. According to the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, the Visible Light Transmission rate should be a minimum of 70%. Also, have in mind that you aren’t allowed to have tinted windshields.

The transparent film is applied on the inner side of the window to ensure longevity. Before starting, the glass should be thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt and debris. The tint will be placed over the window’s exterior and cut manually to get the right size or the installer may use pre-cuts. The detailer will spray a solution to activate the adhesive and install the film. A squeegee will be used to remove any trapped air bubbles and solution. Next, they will trim the edges to ensure a perfect fit if the hand-cut is used.

The time needed to get the windows tinted depends on the number of windows. The service will take from two to four hours on average. It will take one to two hours for a regular 4-door sedan and up to four hours for an SUV.

Tinting your headlights and taillights will protect the lens from dirt and UV rays. The transparent film will let the light through the tint but prevent light from going back in. Therefore the lens will stay clean and pristine, without the cloudiness that comes from direct exposure to UV rays and dirt and make them smoked.

The cost for window tinting depends on the number of windows you want to cover and the type of tint you choose. Expect to pay from $25 to $150 for a window. For small cars, it will cost $150 on average for 2 windows. However, the price will go up to $500 for an SUV.
